Honor, dignity, and respect. Second Mile Service. My pleasure. To glorify God… These ideals are ingrained into the culture of Chick-fil-A! It is who they are, and it is that influence that has driven me most of my life.

My name is Jonathan Gilpin. I grew up in Chick-fil-A since I accepted my first job at 15-years-old. There are few companies that develop the character of young people like Chick-fil-A. As Truett Cathy wrote, “It’s better to build boys than mend men,” and the legacy he left behind is an enduring commitment to that philosophy.

I have spent the majority of my career, fifteen years, working with Chick-fil-A in various roles. I have been a Team Member, Night Manager, and General Manager. I worked for a couple of years as an Interim Manager and Grand Opening Supervisor. I even spent a little over a year working at the Chick-fil-A corporate office (Support Center) in Atlanta.

When I did leave Chick-fil-A, I spent 6 years working in the energy sector and had a great job with all the corporate level benefits; however, once you have worked for a company that puts people and God first, it is difficult to thrive in a corporate climate.

I found myself returning to Chick-fil-A, supporting one Operator as Director of Operations for 5 years. There I was, back where I started 10 years before, asking myself, “How do I keep Chick-fil-A in my life and still cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit within me?” With that goal in mind, I decided to build a company around supporting the company I love so much.

Chick-fil-A has only gotten busier year after year, and Chick-fil-A operations have become exceedingly complicated and demanding. The pressure to release team members at a reasonable hour while still pushing for higher and higher cleanliness standards when operational demands remain until the moment the restaurants close spurred the idea for Overnight Success.

I realized that I could use my years of experience and my obsession with processes and procedures to create a positive impact on a much larger scale than I had ever previously imagined.

The Overnight Success Services team arrives at closing time every night and completes shutdown tasks at the restaurant, which allows the Chick-fil-A team members to leave the moment the restaurant closes. The Overnight Success Services team spends all night, setting up the business for success for the following day, and performing deep cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.

I am very excited by the results we have achieved over the last two years with the nine restaurants we have served so far. I feel blessed to continue to work with Chick-fil-A while building something I can call my own.

I want to express a special thank you to Rusty Wylie. Rusty is an amazing Chick-fil-A Operator, who has been immeasurably generous to my family throughout my career. Thank you Rusty for trusting me, and thank you for giving me innumerable opportunities to succeed!
